We are an “invite only” group of professional women in the Triangle who:

  • get together to share experiences, obstacles, and guidance with fellow members,
  • give feedback to members on goals, business growth and challenges, and
  • most importantly, recognize and celebrate the successes of each member of the group.

We’re not a traditional networking group – we do not pass cards or require attendance. But, ultimately, we believe that with deeper relationships and conversation, meaningful introductions and referrals will come.

Our goal is to help you continue to succeed.

*Note that tWA is not affiliated with Soule Employment Law Firm – other than the Firm’s owner, Mimi, helps to maintain the group!

FAQ: What are OPEN and CLOSED meetings?

On the registration sites for each event, it will be labeled as OPEN or CLOSED.

  • CLOSED Events. Closed events are only for alliance members who routinely come to the group. Please do not share the registration links with visitors to any CLOSED event.  We want to make sure that members feel comfortable sharing!
  • OPEN Events. You may invite visitors to any OPEN events identified above. Just forward them the registration link to an OPEN event provided above. With OPEN events, you do not need to worry if someone’s career/industry conflicts with a member. Let’s use this as an  opportunity to expand our networks!

FAQ: What is our agenda at each meeting?

  • Afternoons. We are keeping the rolling time of 4:00-6:00pm for each meeting, which is the preferred time for the majority of members who responded to our survey. Remember, there is no “being late” – just come by anytime between 4:00-6:00pm!
  • Structured Discussions. Between 4:30-5:00 at each meeting, we’ll circle up for a structured discussion on the topics described in each event registration.
  • The Ask. At each event, members will now also be asked about what they want/need from the group (remember – this is not a sales pitch – it’s an ask for feedback, guidance, resources and suggestions from fellow alliance members).

FAQ: How does someone become a member of the Alliance?

  • First, they are invited to an OPEN meeting by a current member. If you need a summary about the group to send to a visitor – here you go:  What is The Women’s Alliance? We are an “invite only” group of professional women in the Triangle who get together to share experiences, obstacles, and guidance with fellow members, give feedback to members on goals, business growth and challenges, and, most importantly, to recognize and celebrate the successes of each member of the group. We’re not a traditional networking group – we do not pass cards or require attendance. But, ultimately, we believe that with deeper relationships and conversation, meaningful introductions and referrals will come. Our goal is to help you continue to succeed.
  • Second, if 1) the visitor tells Mimi or Tina that she likes the group and would like to come back, and 2) the visitor’s business industry does not conflict with a current Alliance member who has been in attendance at a majority of events in the previous 6 months, then Tina or Mimi will add the visitor to the email invitations for future events. It’s very simple.
